WHYUNTRUSTED

Terms of Service

Draft for owner approval

These terms are prepared for review and are not yet effective. Operator identity and final legal terms require approval before publication.

The service

WhyUntrusted provides informational certificate troubleshooting and explanations of Windows certificate errors. Results reflect a limited observation from the server at a point in time. They are not a security audit, certification, warranty of trust or guarantee that a site is safe.

Permitted use

Use the service for legitimate troubleshooting of systems you own or are authorized to assess. Do not attempt to bypass limits, access private networks, disrupt the service or submit secrets or unlawful material.

Your responsibility

Review suggested commands and changes before applying them. Diagnostic suggestions may not fit your environment. Back up relevant configuration and use a qualified administrator when needed. Never disable certificate validation merely to silence an error.

Availability and limits

Checks may be rate-limited, unavailable or incomplete. The initial release has no paid subscription, payment collection or service-level commitment. Features and limits may change.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without warranties of accuracy, fitness or uninterrupted operation. These terms do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Contact

The planned support address is support@whyuntrusted.com. It must be verified before these terms become effective. Any future paid offering will have separately disclosed pricing and billing terms.
