Privacy Policy
Draft for owner approval
This policy is prepared for launch and is not yet effective. The operator identity, hosting log retention and contact mailbox must be confirmed before publication.
What the application processes
Domain checks process the hostname you submit, its public DNS answers and the certificate presented on port 443. Windows explanations process the error text you paste. Remove passwords, private keys, personal information and confidential logs before submitting text.
Storage and logs
The application has no database and does not intentionally save submitted domain names or error text. Client addresses and rate-limit timestamps are held temporarily in memory. Application logs contain request IDs, endpoint categories, status codes, elapsed times and exception types, without submitted content. The hosting provider may separately process IP addresses, request metadata and operational logs under its own policies. Exact provider retention must be confirmed at launch.
Cookies and third parties
This build includes no advertising, analytics trackers, account system or application cookies. It uses deterministic rules; submissions are not sent to an AI provider. DNS and TLS checks contact network infrastructure and the target server. If you email us, the mailbox provider processes that correspondence.
Purpose and choices
Data is used to deliver diagnostics, prevent abuse and maintain the service. Do not submit sensitive material. You may request information about personal data in support correspondence through the verified launch contact. Applicable privacy rights depend on your location.
Contact and changes
The planned privacy contact is hello@whyuntrusted.com; it is not active until domain and mailbox setup are verified. The final policy will identify the operator and effective date. Material practice changes will be reflected here.
